Reading and writing have been my greatest passions for as long as I can remember. As a child growing up in the Netherlands, I always had my nose in a book. I was a regular visitor to our local library, and by the time I was ten, I had read just about every book available for girls my age. So I moved on to the boys' books! I loved losing myself in stories and discovering new worlds through reading.

When I was fourteen, I started writing my own book, using the novels I loved as inspiration. I studied how authors told their stories, wrote dialogue and brought characters to life. That book was never published, but looking back, it marked the beginning of my career as a writer and journalist.

I have worked as a journalist and editor for several newspapers, including six years as a managing editor. I have also written and self-published a book about a Dutch singer.

In 2001, I started my own copywriting and journalism business and have been self-employed ever since. Today, I live and work in British Columbia, Canada, but I continue working with my clients in the Netherlands and internationally.
